Resident Scientist
My name is Dawn Thyne. As well as personally being passionate about health and nutrition (and delicious food!) I am a science teacher, specialising in biology. My degree was in human genetics with modules in biochemistry (which is, in part, the science behind food!). My interest in Food Science and the impact it has on our health has become paramount to me since having children: I want to be in the best shape I can be for them and teach them appropriate ways to eat to stay as fit and healthy as they can be to enjoy life to the full! I will be sharing my research and understanding of superfoods, unwrapping some mysteries and dispelling some myths of food and the affect it has on your body in this updated blog on The Pantry 8020's website. I’m delighted to be part of this inspirational venture and am thrilled the true message of ’You are what you eat!’ is getting out there, to better educate grown-up and young people alike to be the best version of yourself through healthy eating!
